Imogen Whitehead trumpet, Patrick Milne piano
Imogen Whitehead is a trumpeter in demand across the UK and abroad. She is a champion of the flugelhorn − an instrument often overlooked in the classical sphere − and is committed to raising its solo profile through new commissions and arrangements. Imogen has recently been appointed Artist-in-Residence with St Martin’s Voices and has played on major film soundtracks including Maestro and Saltburn. Patrick Milne has performed in venues such as the Barbican, Wigmore and Cadogan halls. He is both a pianist and a conductor, acting as répétiteur at The Royal Opera House, and specialising in conducting opera. The programme includes: Beamish Trinculo; Harding To Stay Open; Smyth Nocturne: Canon by Inversion, Davies Sonatina for Solo Trumpet and Farewell to Stromness; MacMillan Seraph; and the world première of a piece by Proms favourite Noah Max.
